What We Believe

Bible

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, authoritive Word of God. It is the supreme source of the truth for Christian beliefs and living. II timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:19-21

God

We believe that there is one God. He exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They are co-equal of essence. It’s called Trinity. Deuteronomy 6:4-5, I John 5:7, Matthew 3:16-17

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, raised from the dead, and sits at the right hand of the Father as true God and true man.  Luke 1:30-35, Hebrews 5:15, I Corinthians 15: 3-4, Ephesians 1:20

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit shares the equality with the Father and Son as God. He is present in the world to convince the people of their need for Jesus Christ. He indwells in every believer at the moment of salvation. He provides the believer with power to live, understanding of the truth, and guidance in doing what is right.  John 14:16-17, 26; 16:7-15

Man

We believe that man was created in the image of God and is not a product of the evolution in any sense. Man was originally created perfectly to live for God’s glory.  Genesis 1:27, 31

Sin

We believe that the first man, Adam, sinned by disobedience. This resulted the fall of all mankind. Therefore, all people have sinned and are born with a sinful nature. Because of this fall, both physical and spiritual deaths are incurred on all people.  Genesis 1:24, Romans 5:12

Salvation

We believe that salvation is a gift from God based on substitutionary death of Jesus Christ on the cross and shedding of His blood. Salvation is by God’s grace through faith in Christ apart from works.  John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9, Hebrews 9:22, Romans 4:24-26

Eternal Security

We believe that since God gives the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ, every believer is secure in salvation for eternity. We are maintained by the grace and power of god.  John 10:28-29, I Peter 1:3-5, Ephesians 1:13-14

Resurrection of All Beings

We believe in physical resurrection of all beings: the saints to heaven and wicked to the everlasting punishment of the lost.  Luke 16:19-31, Acts 24:15, Revelation 20:10, 21:4

Second Coming

We believe in pretribulational rapture of His church and premillennial return with His church to establish the millennial kingdom on earth.  I Thessalonians 4:16-17, I Corinthians 15:51-58, II Thessalonians 2:7-10, Revelation 19:11-21, Titus 2:13

Church

We believe in the importance of the local church fulfilling the Great Commission through evangelism locally and worldwide.  Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 1:8

Baptism

We believe in baptism by immersion which symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is a public declaration that a person has accepted Jesus as a personal Savior, It cannot save us. It is a biblical command and demonstrates the believer’s love for and obedience to Christ.  Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 2:41, Ephesians 2:8-9, Colossians 2:12, I Peter 3:20-21

Lord’s Supper

We believe that the Lord’s Supper is an ongoing ordinance given to all believers to remember our Lord’s death, burial, and resurrection and His promised return.

Marriage

We believe in a marriage between a man and a woman.  Genesis 1:27-28, Matthew 19:5-6, I Corinthians 7:1-4
